Aspen is a 10 year old American Eskimo Spitz who was rescued from a puppy mill. He can be shy with those he doesn't know, but once he gets to know you, he is the happiest boy in the world and loves attention and being held! He passed the cat test with flying colors and gets along just fine with dogs of all sizes that he has met. He is working on potty training and likes going outside to play and do his business in the fenced area. When in the house, he wears a diaper while he is learning. He really loves getting praised for being a good boy! His favorite activities are going for walks, napping and finding treats in his snuffle mat. He had some teeth missing when he arrived, and also lost several more when he had his dental. He has about 21 healthy shiny teeth left? He sleeps well in his kennel at night and rides great in the car.

Aspen is looking for a best friend, who will be home most of the time or can take him with them. He would also enjoy a fenced yard, but not a requirement. He would do well with another dog or cat, but at this time he has shown no interest in actually playing with them.

Aspen’s adoption fee is $125.00 and includes neuter, dental, wormer, vaccinations, negative Heartworm test, Heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative and microchip. If interested in adopting Aspen, submit an application at www.heartrescueteam.com.
