I was born in Watertown, South Dakota but lived most of my life in Seattle, Washington. I have 3 siblings, and my brother is only 11 months older than I am. Oops! I am nearly 5'10" and think I was shy growing up because of that. Being a tall girl isn't always easy, especially when all you want is to just blend it.
2 of my passions are people and music so after many years selling clothes for Nordstrom, I got into radio and produced a morning show in Seattle for long time radio guy Ichabod Caine. He taught me the fine art of writing comedy & how to interview people and that has served me well. I LOVE what I do today & God has blessed me more than I ever imagined with the best job on the planet! The only guy that may have it better is the ice cream taster for Ben & Jerry's.
Animals are also a passion for me. I have a Great Dane named "Malchus." I get asked all the time where I got his name. It was the last man Jesus healed before he was crucified. Malchus was a servant of the high priest and Peter sliced his ear off with a sword, and Jesus healed him. I can't imagine how that guys life changed after that. I also have another Great Dane, Ruby, & now Malchus is her leader and protector. If she ever gets lost in the woods, I just have to look for Malchus and he points to where she is.
More recently, I am now married and I too, like Trisha Yearwood am "ridiculously happy." I met Bruce on relationships.com. I was skeptical about the whole internet thing but a few friends had such a great experience that I decided to try it too. I could not be happier to have met the man of my dreams in a way that I had not expected at all. If you too are waiting and waiting and waiting like I was and loosing hope, don't let yourself go there. God HAS a plan but what's frustrating is He does not wear a watch. If marriage is the desire in your heart, then He intends to fulfill that. Spend your time now just getting ready. Read "Sacred Marriage." It is one you will refer to time and time again!
