I feel like as I start this I should have Green Day “Time Of Your Life” or that song from Dirty Dancing playing in the background as I write.

It seems like just yesterday I walked into KQ98 for the first time, now I sit here about 7 years later sharing this bitter-sweet news with you.  This Friday (1/15) will be my last day at KQ98.  I have accepted a job farther to the south, no more cold cold winters.

I have had so much fun hanging out with you at concerts, parties, county fairs and more over the last few years.  It seems like just yesterday we were at the Allamakee County Fair with Frankie Ballard for the first time and I took off running up a dirt hill while hundreds of people chased me for a chance to sit up on stage while Frankie played.  That was dubbed as the “Frankie Incident” and I still hear about it from so many people today!

Ok I won’t make this long and drawn out, if you wanna talk and share memories that would be awesome, of if you just wanna stay in contact that is also awesome!  Look me up on Facebook if you are not friends with me yet (, on twitter @travisatnight, and snapchat: travisatnight

Thank you again for an amazing 7 years,

Travis Winchester
