Police say a Florida woman pulled an alligator out of her pants during a traffic stop on Monday (5/6). The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that they made the not-so-routine traffic stop after seeing a pickup truck run a stop sign. The 22-year-old man driving told deputies that he and the woman were coming from a nearby underpass where they were collecting snakes and frogs. After deputies asked to see what kind of wildlife they had collected, the 25-year-old female passenger opened a backpack containing 42 small three-striped mud turtles and one softshell turtle. But that’s not all she was packing. When officers asked if she had anything else they should know about, the woman pulled a foot-long alligator out of her yoga pants and put it in the truck bed. The two were then cited for having the reptiles and the animals were seized and released.
