Anita Tamang, a senior at Luther College in Decorah, along with another student and professor from Ukraine, are organizing a roughly 75-mile bike ride fundraiser from Rochester to Decorah on Saturday, April 30th to help bring peace, and support those in the country who have been affected and displaced due to the Russian invasion.

The #RideForUkraine bike ride will start around 7AM at Silverlake Skate Park in Rochester and pass through various cities before ending in Decorah at the Luther College campus.

A GoFundMe page has been setup for students and other people to donate. The page can be viewed here. The funds raised will help support a clinic in Ukraine, as one of the professors of the bike ride who is originally from Ukraine, has a mother who works at the clinic and family still living in the country.

Anita talked with Brandon Scott in the morning about the fundraiser, what inspired her to organize it, some of the steps it took to get it up and running, and more on where the money raised will directly go to and the process involved.
