DEER CRASHES COUPLE’S FLORIDA DESTINATION WEDDING

An Oklahoma couple got an unforgettable surprise on their wedding day when an endangered Key deer wandered up to the altar during their vows. Estella Kirk and Gavin Guthrie had traveled with about 20 family members and friends from Oklahoma to Florida for their intimate ceremony at Little Palm Island.
Just as the couple exchanged vows, Rosy, a local Key deer, quietly approached the altar and began nibbling on the wedding flowers. Estella didn’t even realize the deer was there until it was time to take pictures.
Wedding photographer Sydney Breland captured the adorable uninvited guest as she mingled with the wedding party and posed for photos. Guests were delighted, and the couple said Rosy’s peaceful appearance made the day feel even more special.
The couple later held a reception in McAlester so friends and family back home could celebrate. Fortunately, no deer showed up for that celebration—but Rosy will forever be part of their wedding memories.
