NEW NETFLIX DOC CHRONICLES CAREER OF FORMER QB VINCE YOUNG

Nearly two decades after his NFL career began, Vince Young is taking another look at the highs and lows that defined his time in professional football.

Netflix’s Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young, released August 25, explores the former Texas quarterback’s remarkable rise, troubled NFL career and complicated relationship with former Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher.

Young was selected No. 3 overall in the 2006 NFL Draft and quickly made an impact, winning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year and eventually earning two Pro Bowl selections. However, disagreements with Fisher over discipline, playing time and leadership eventually helped derail his career.

The documentary also reveals Young’s attempt to reconcile with Fisher years later through an apology letter. Fisher never responded, partly because Young had misspelled his name.
