GEORGIA JUNK STORE SEEKS PUBLIC HELP WITH AN “ALIEN ABDUCTION”

The truth may be out there, but in Statesboro, Georgia, someone apparently decided to take an alien home! Charlie’s Funky Junk Shop is searching for its iconic giant green alien statue after it was reportedly stolen from the sidewalk outside the business along West Main Street. According to the shop, the statue disappeared sometime between 4 and 6 p.m. on August 26.

The owners checked security footage from nearby businesses and filed a police report, but so far, no suspects have been identified and the alien has not been recovered. The statue had become part of the shop’s quirky promotional style, with the business jokingly describing its collection as “out-of-this-world” and inviting customers to follow the alien toward downtown fun.

Some commenters have even suggested checking “Greek row” at nearby Georgia Southern University.
