Walker Hayes Changes Lyrics to Song After the Georgia Bulldogs Win the National Championship

Written by on January 11, 2022

Walker Hayes is a native of Alabama so seeing the Crimson Tide lose to the rival Georgia Bulldogs in college football’s National Championship game on Monday night had to sting.

Even worse would be changing the lyrics to your own song to acknowledge the Georgia win. Hayes did just that as he lost a bet to football commentator and former Georgia player, David Pollack.

Hayes took to social media singing new lyrics to his current country hit, “AA.” In the original, he sings about Alabama loving Nick Saban (the head coach of the Crimson Tide). The change replaces Saban and Alabama with Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart. Watch below.

Walker will kick off his “Fancy Like Tour” later this month which includes a stop at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, MN on Saturday, January 29th.

KQ98 and Timeout Tavern in La Crescent are giving you a chance to win a pair of tickets. Watch the video below on how to enter to win. Check out their menu and food specials here.
