Back in June of 2023, news broke of that the TITAN submersible had lost contact with the MV Polar Prince an hour and a half after it had made it’s decent towards the wreckage of the Titanic.

Days later, wreckage of the sub was recovered by the Coast Guard and it was evident that it had imploded and all five people on board the TITAN had perished.

“Titan: The OceanGate Disaster” airing on Netflix Wednesday, it chronicles that the trip was doomed from the start. Mainly due to hubris from the company’s CEO.
