STORM CHASER COUPLE GET ENGAGED IN FRONT OF TORNADO

Two storm chasers have taken social media by storm — literally — after getting engaged in front of a tornado. Bryce Shelton and Paige Berdomas, longtime friends who bonded online over their love of weather, finally met last year during a storm chase in Iowa. Their shared passion quickly turned romantic, and they began making YouTube videos together as they chased storms across the country.
Shelton had been secretly planning the perfect proposal for months, waiting for the right moment — and the right storm. That moment came on June 28 in South Dakota, their favorite state, as they stood in front of a massive tornado. Despite the pouring rain and casual attire, Shelton dropped to one knee, leaving Berdomas completely surprised.
Later that evening, with encouragement from fellow chaser Brandon Copic, they recreated the proposal in front of what Berdomas called “the most beautiful tornado” she had ever seen. Their story has since gone viral, with well-wishes pouring in from the weather community.
