A heated altercation on an Alberta golf course involving former NHL player and current youth hockey coach Nick Tarnasky has drawn widespread attention after a video of the incident went viral. The clash occurred recently at Alberta Springs Golf Resort, just northwest of Red Deer. The video shows Tarnasky arguing with another man over the pace of play before physically lifting and tossing him into a pond. When the man attempted to re-engage, Tarnasky delivered several punches, shouting “bang” with each hit, before throwing him a second time.

RCMP say they received a third-party report about the incident, describing it as a fight involving an intoxicated person. However, the individual who reported it had already left when officers from the Blackfalds detachment arrived. Since no one came forward to allege an assault or press charges, the investigation has officially been closed, according to Cpl. Troy Savinkoff.
