OHIO ROLLER COASTER STRANDS RIDERS FOR FOURTH TIME THIS MONTH

Cedar Point’s newest thrill ride, Siren’s Curse, is making headlines again—this time for the wrong reasons. The cutting-edge tilt coaster, which opened at the end of June, temporarily stranded riders for at least the fourth time on Tuesday. Park officials confirmed the coaster stopped mid-tilt, during its signature maneuver where a section of track rotates 90 degrees before a steep drop.
Cedar Point spokesman Tony Clark likened the issue to a “check-engine light,” emphasizing that the ride’s safety systems worked as intended. After a brief pause, Siren’s Curse resumed operation and guests safely completed their ride.
While no injuries have been reported, the ride has experienced stoppages on June 28, July 2, July 19, and now July 29. As America’s first tilt coaster, Siren’s Curse is drawing big crowds—and just as much scrutiny. Fans hope the technical kinks will soon be resolved so the coaster can live up to its thrilling potential.
