ELMO MAKES HIS DEBUT AT THE GRAND OLE OPRY

The Grand Ole Opry celebrated its 100th anniversary with some very special guests — Sesame Street’s Elmo and Abby Cadabby. For the first time ever, the beloved Muppets took the Opry stage, delighting both kids and country fans alike.
Elmo, decked out in a cowboy shirt, hat, and bolo tie, joined Opry member Lauren Alaina to sing her hit “Road Less Traveled.” It was Alaina’s first Opry appearance since welcoming her daughter, Beni Doll Arnold, in June, making the duet even more meaningful.
Meanwhile, Abby Cadabby teamed up with Tayla Lynn — granddaughter of the legendary Loretta Lynn — for a sweet rendition of “You’re Lookin’ at Country,” honoring her grandmother’s Opry and Sesame Street legacy.
The night underscored the long-standing bond between country music and Sesame Street, a tradition that has seen stars like Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, and Faith Hill perform alongside the iconic puppets.
