MAN OWNS 3,000 PAIRS OF CROCS; SETS WORLD RECORD

Move over sneakerheads—there’s a new king of footwear collecting, and he’s all about Crocs. Connecticut’s own Doogie Sandtiger, better known as the “Croc King,” has officially earned a Guinness World Record for the largest collection of Crocs, totaling 3,569 pairs. But that number is already outdated. As of this month, Sandtiger’s collection has grown to over 3,800 pairs and counting.

Sandtiger’s passion for Crocs started at age 16. Growing up in foster care, he never learned how to tie shoelaces, so the slip-on shoes quickly became a favorite. He even kept a “goals list” as a teenager, originally setting out to collect 366 pairs. Clearly, he’s far exceeded that dream.

Now, with thousands of colorful pairs stacked up, Sandtiger has his eyes set on a new project: opening a “Crocseum” where he can display his one-of-a-kind collection to the public.
