Forget high-speed chases—this Wisconsin State Patrol trooper had to deal with a turkey on the loose, and the audio is pure comedy gold.

A year ago today, the officer radioed dispatch between laughs after spotting a turkey pecking at his cruiser’s tires. When he tried to scare it off with his siren, the bird apparently took it as a personal challenge. “I think he took it as a challenge,” the trooper said before announcing he was now in foot pursuit of the bird.

The suspect’s official description? Two feet tall, male, short beard, brown with red and white trim—and “deceptively fast.”
