LUKE COMBS TALKS ABOUT AWKWARD MEETING WITH CAROLINA PANTHERS OWNER

Luke Combs may be the highest-selling country artist of all time, but when it comes to his hometown team, the Carolina Panthers, he’s just another fan riding the emotional rollercoaster. Last year, Combs went viral after passionately calling out the Panthers’ front office—and owner David Tepper—during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. His fiery comments echoed the frustrations of fans everywhere.

Things got a bit awkward, though, when Luke later had to ask Tepper for use of the Panthers’ stadium for his “Concert for Carolina” hurricane benefit with Eric Church. The two ended up chatting for an hour, and Tepper even admitted he’d seen the clip. Fortunately, Luke says they’re “in good graces” now.

Still, Combs stands by what he said—because at the end of the day, he’s just a loyal fan who loves his team. And with the Panthers now at 4–3, maybe his faith is finally paying off.
