MAN REVEALS HIS REAL SPEAKING VOICE AFTER CHANGING IT FOR 30 YEARS

A TikTok creator is going viral after revealing he’s spent most of his life speaking in a voice that wasn’t his own. Timothy Daigle, now in his 40s, said he started using a higher, tense tone as a teen after being constantly told he “mumbled.” In a clip that’s racked up nearly five million views, Daigle relaxed his throat and unveiled his true, deeper voice — shocking viewers who said his whole energy shifted.
He explained that the change began in adolescence, when criticism from his mom led him to “squeeze” his voice to sound clearer. “This voice is the voice I speak with for a reason,” he said.
The revelation sparked a larger conversation about how many people hide their natural voices to fit in or avoid judgment. One voice coach even commented that almost everyone’s “natural voice” is shaped by life experiences and social pressure.
@timmaydgl This was… an uncomfortable realization at first. Now, it’s just a fascinating piece of my personal history that I will DEFINITELY bring up in therapy one day when talking about how aggressively I will accomodate the people around me no matter how ridiculous their problem with me is.
