FLORIDA SHERIFFS DEAL WITH 2ND GIANT ALLIGATOR IN A WEEK

If it feels like Florida alligator stories are becoming a weekly tradition, Sarasota County is doing its part to keep that streak alive. Sheriff’s deputies there are getting remarkably skilled at removing massive gators from places they definitely don’t belong — thanks to a lot of recent practice.

Just a week after deputies wrangled a towering 14-foot, 600-pound alligator off the middle of a roadway, they were called out again. This time, the unexpected visitor was hanging out at a 7-Eleven. The roughly 10-foot gator had taken up position outside the store, causing employees to rethink their usual customer service routine.
