Even in 2026, when technology seems capable of just about anything, the world is still finding ways to surprise us — and not always in a good way. The latest viral “innovation” proves that just because you can invent something doesn’t mean you should.
A creator behind the TikTok account Unnecessary Inventions has gone viral for building a device that lets people scroll through TikTok by honking their car horn. Yes, really. While it’s meant as a joke, the invention is very real and already has the internet buzzing.
The setup is simple and ridiculous: an iPad mounted with a magnet sticks to the back of a car, facing the driver behind it. A sign reads “Honk 2 Swipe,” and every honk triggers a new video. Stuck in traffic? Just lean on the horn and keep scrolling.
Thankfully, this invention is unlikely to hit real roads anytime soon — and drivers everywhere are breathing a sigh of relief.
