CONCERT PROPOSAL GOES WRONG AND GOES VIRAL

Bootleg Rascal’s Reasons tour kicked ofF in Brisbane over the weekend, but the opening night came with an Unforgettable—and painfully awkward—moment. The Australian duo, Carlos Lara and Jimmy Young, agreed to help a fan stage a surprise proposal during the show, expecting a sweet memory for everyone involved. Instead, it turned into a moment no one will soon forget.

After sharing how the couple had previously attended a Bootleg Rascal show together, the man dropped to one Knee as the crowd cheered him on. But the reaction he hoped for never came. HIs partner shook her head, tried to pull him back to his feet, and ultimately ran off the stage, leaving the audience stunned and the band visibly mortified.

Carlos later Explained the band had little context about the proposal and genuinely thought it would be a heartfelt highlight of the night. Instead, it became an exercise in secondhand embarrassment. As Carlos put it, it was the most awkward moment he’s ever experienced on stage—and likely the last public proposal Bootleg Rascal will host anytime soon.
