TEACHER GOES VIRAL READING UNHINGED EMAILS FROM PARENTS
Written by Jesse Skelley on February 26, 2026
When Georgia high school teacher Colton Major started sharing shocking parent emails on TikTok, he never expected to become an internet sensation. But after posting a few videos inspired by another creator, Major quickly racked up millions of views — and plenty of laughs.
The 30-year-old 11th grade teacher had quietly archived years of surprising emails, ranging from complaints about teaching World War II in “too much detail” to confusion over snow day announcements. What once left him and his department head in disbelief has now become relatable online content.
For Major, teaching has always been a calling. Inspired by his grandmother and guided by his parents’ belief in the Golden Rule, he sees education as an act of service.
He hopes his viral videos highlight the unseen dedication of teachers. “We invest in lives, not just content,” Major says. Through humor, he’s offering a heartfelt glimpse into the passion, challenges and beauty behind the profession.
@c_major_44 Nothing prepares you for the wild emails you get as a teacher… not college, not student teaching, NOTHING 😂📨 Just me, my coffee, and a message that could’ve been a meeting… or a therapy session. #TeacherTok #fyp #TeacherProblems #EduHumor #SchoolStruggles
