Summerfest 2022 Will Keep The Three Weekend Format

Written by on September 16, 2021

Summerfest officials announced on Thursday morning that they will keep the three-weekend format for the event in 2022 with the exception of one change, the dates.

The event will go back back to it’s late June, early July time frame instead of the September schedule it had this year. Don Smiley, President and CEO of Milwaukee Festival, Inc. said in a press release, “as we were forced into September dates, we knew it would be a novel experience to host the festival in late summer. That said, it was the only viable option to accommodate artists and fans within this fluid environment.” Smiley goes on to say, “our team pulled it off and provided an economic boost to the local economy and gave patrons live outdoor music on the lakefront. We want to thank all our attendees, vendors and sponsors for their support – we can’t wait to see them again next year.”

Headliners and entertainment updates will come in the months ahead. Keep tabs at Summerfest.com.

Summerfest is also thanking fans with this Saturday, September 18th being ‘Fan Appreciation Day’ from Noon to 7pm. There will be FREE admission to the event, in addition the first 30,000 fans that enter through the gate will get a free ticket for admission to next year’s Summerfest.
