The Weekend Three: September 17-19, 2021.

The Weekend Three highlights three events that take place each weekend across the Tri-States. These events are anything from fundraisers, festivals and fairs to other various community functions. If interested, feel free to take part in any of these events and support local communities.

1. Applefest – La Crescent, MN

The annual La Crescent Applefest is happening this weekend at Abnet Field. There are carnival rides, food, ice cold refreshments, entertainment in the King Apple Tent, the tapping of the Red Apple Keg, arts and crafts fair, a kiddie parade and more over the weekend. 2. First Annual Cancer Memorial Benefit Bike Ride – Cresco, IA

The event takes place Saturday, September 18th in Cresco. The bike ride fundraiser honors people who we’ve lost and have been taken by cancer. Registration is from 10-11AM with a fee of $25. Located at Ox and Warren in Cresco, the bike trail will cover 40 miles from Cresco to Ridgeway to Calmar and back to Cresco. All of the proceeds donated to the Howard County Community Hospice. 3. Vernon County Fair – Viroqua, WI

The Vernon County Fair in Viroqua is ongoing and concludes on Sunday, September 19th. Enjoy carnival rides, the badger state tractor and truck pull (Friday night), horse pulling, kids tractor pull and demo derby (Saturday), harness racing and a performance by High Mileage (Sunday).
