Fall Colors Nearing Peak in Tri-States

Written by on October 15, 2021

One of the best things about living in this area are the surrounding bluffs and the vast number of trees that put on quite the display in the fall as their leaves change color.

Fall color develops from north to south usually around mid-September lasting through October. While areas in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin have already reached their peak, this and next week much of the Tri-States region will be in peak season. You can check the Wisconsin fall color report here courtesy of Travel Wisconsin. The website is made up of an interactive map which allows you to click on each county in the state, or your area to see when the fall color peak is. To find a state park or trail to witness the fall colors go here. For Minnesota residents, check out the fall color report here courtesy of the DNR.

Check out the unique sightseeing opportunities that await before the leaves are off the trees. Oh, and don’t forget your camera.
