Ally Putnam surprised her husband Max with an unforgettable birthday dinner at their favorite spot: the Costco food court. What started as a routine Costco run with their 21-month-old son August turned into a viral moment, racking up more than 70,000 likes on TikTok.

Ally explained that Costco had special meaning for the couple, who spent many budget-friendly date nights there while Max was in medical school. Now in his first year of residency, Max expected a normal dinner out — not a surprise party. One by one, they “randomly” ran into his friends, all fellow residents, until the truth became impossible to ignore.
