UNITED AIRLINES ANNOUNCE “RELAX ROW” ON LONG FLIGHTS

United Airlines is rethinking long-haul comfort with a new seating option designed to make economy feel a lot more like premium. Starting in 2027, the airline will introduce “Relax Row,” a row of three economy seats that convert into a lie-flat space. The setup features adjustable leg rests that fold up to create a flat surface, giving travelers room to stretch out and sleep on long flights.
Passengers who book the option will also receive extras like a mattress pad, plush blankets, pillows, and even a kid-friendly travel kit. United says the seating is ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for added comfort without upgrading to business class.
The new feature will debut on Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft, with plans to expand across more than 200 planes by 2030. Similar to Air New Zealand’s Skycouch, Relax Row aims to bring affordable rest to economy cabins.
