Written by on December 3, 2020

This will truly be a Christmas miracle! According to a report by Yahoo News, this is the first time the “Christmas Star” will be seen in nearly 800 years! Finally, something amazing and wonderful in 2020!

“On Dec. 21 (aka the December solstice), Jupiter and Saturn will align so closely in the night sky that they’ll almost appear to collide from our vantage point here on Earth, creating a radiant point of light often referred to as the “Star of Bethlehem” or the “Christmas Star.”

“The event, sometimes referred to as The Great Conjunction, occurs roughly every 19 to 20 years, but this is the closest the planets will line up in the night sky since the Middle Ages”.

If you want to try and catch a glimpse, make sure you have a clear view to the southwest about 45 minutes after sunset on December 21st. The next Great Conjunction, this close, won’t happen until March 15, 2080! That’s a pretty long time. So, don’t forget to take a peek to witness this incredibly rare sight.
