Bauer’s Market and Garden Center brings US the 7AM Pledge of Allegiance Shout-Out with DUKE. We commemorate February 3rd, 1959, The day The Music Died. Buddy Holly, 22, Ritchie Valens, 17, Pilot Roger Peterson 25 and JP Richardson aka The Big Bopper 28 were killed in a plane crash in the Cornfields of Iowa. They were touring with the Winter Dance Party. Richardson was just 2 years out of the US Army. He had served 3 years, ’55-57-57 as a radar operator at the US ARMY Air Defense Center at Fort Bliss Texas, near El Paso. Salute to Jiles Perry Richardson US ARMY veteran.
