Clare Dunn Gets Attacked by Her Lyft Driver

Country music singer, Clare Dunn recounts a horrifying and scary night back in June when she was attacked by her Lyft Driver.
Clare tells People magazine that her and friends were out for a night in Nashville on June 25th when her and a friend decided to get a Lyft driver to take them home. The driver dropped Clare’s friend off first and when it came time to take Clare home, she said it became evident that he was not following the directions that she gave.
She said the driver became agitated and pulled the car over and “ripped me out of the backseat and slammed me face-down into a ditch.” She was able to somehow call 9-1-1 during the scuffle and at that point the driver got back into his car and took off.
Her face was left bruised and was bleeding from her nose down to her chin. She ended up going to the emergency room after the altercation and filed a police report.
To make matters worse, the guy is still on the loose. There is a warrant out for his arrest. Lyft put out a statement saying, “safety is fundamental to Lyft. The behavior described is appalling, and we permanently removed the driver from the Lyft platform as soon as we learned of this incident. We’ve reached out to Ms. Dunn to offer our support and are assisting law enforcement with their investigation.”
Hopefully he gets caught soon and brought to justice. Clare will be performing at Ashley for the Arts in Arcadia this Saturday, August 14th.
