World Teachers’ Day: Items Teachers Can Get For Free or Discounted

It is World Teachers’ Day (October 5th) and it’s tough to think of anyone who deserves free stuff or discounted items more than teachers with the challenges they’ve faced with the pandemic over the last year. This day was created to commemorate teachers across the globe and to recognize and celebrate their contributions and efforts.

There are some things that teachers’ can get for free or discounted. Check them out below and take advantage.

  1. Microsoft gives teachers’ free access to all of their Office products such as: Word, Power Point and Excel. All it takes is a school email address, and once it’s approved, access will be granted.
  2. Thrive Market is one of the top organic food websites that sells healthy and organic food for cheap. They charge a $5-a-month fee, but teachers’ get the membership fee waived.
  3. Headspace is an app that specializes in meditation. If it’s been a stressful day, this app offers support and tips to improve health and happiness. Teachers’ get it free saving about $70-per-year.
  4. Various stores offer discounts to teachers’. There are some good ones like Apple, who rarely offer discounts, also Old Navy, Verizon, Adidas and more.
  5. Liberty Mutual Insurance offer free “vandalism loss protection” to teachers’ whose cars may get vandalized on school property. They also offer free collision coverage if teachers’ every happen to get into an accident while driving to school business.
