FLORIDA WOMAN DISCOVERS TWO ALLIGATORS BATTLING ON HER PATIO

A Florida woman got the surprise of a lifetime when strange noises outside her home turned out to be two alligators battling on her patio. Kayla Burress, who lives in Ave Maria, Florida, said she was inside with her sleeping baby when she heard loud crashing sounds coming from the screened porch. At first, she feared someone was trying to break in.

Instead, Burress discovered two large alligators fighting violently after tearing through the mesh enclosure. She even captured video showing one gator biting the other’s tail during the intense showdown. According to Burress, the reptiles appeared to be fighting over territory rather than mating, noting there was visible blood during the encounter.

A licensed trapper was eventually called to safely remove and relocate the animals. The frightening experience prompted Burress to warn neighbors to keep a close eye on children and pets.

Florida’s alligator mating season runs from April through early September, a time when the reptiles often become more aggressive and territorial.
