Bauer’s market and Garden Center of LaCresent Brings Us today’s 7AM pledge of Allegiance. Shout Out to Tom Landry, Hall of Fame coach of the Dallas Cowboys, through the Glory years. Landry played 1 Semester of College football at the University of Texas before enlisting in the United States Army Air Corps in January of 1942. He was assigned to 8th Air Force and sent to England to begin what what be 30 bombing missions over Europe, including surviving being shot down over Belgium. He was 19. Landry’s older Brother Robert was killed in World War II. After being discharged in 1945, he returned to U of Texas and attained a masters degree in industrial Engineering. Eventually engineering several Super bowls for the Cowboys.
