PIZZA HUT BRINGS BACK “BOOK IT!” SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Pizza Hut is bringing back a beloved blast from the past just in time for summer break. The BOOK IT! program has officially announced the return of its “Summer of Stories,” giving kids a fun incentive to keep reading while school is out.

Starting May 1, parents can enroll children in pre-K through 6th grade through the BOOK IT! app. From June 1 to August 31, young readers can earn digital Reading Award Certificates by hitting monthly reading goals. The reward? A free one-topping Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut.

The program, which dates back to the 1980s, became a nationwide hit by turning books into a gateway for pizza parties and prizes. At its peak, millions of students participated across the country.

Best of all, it’s completely free. And while it’s designed for kids, plenty of adults are feeling nostalgic and hoping a grown-up version might one day hit the menu too.
