The Weekend Three highlights three events that take place over the weekend across the Tri-States. These events are anything from fundraisers, festivals and fairs to other various community functions. If interested, feel free to take part in any of these events and support local communities.

La Crosse Sports Show and Winter Roots Festival

The La Crosse Sports Show is happening at the La Crosse Center now through Sunday. Enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer. Whether you’re into fishing, hunting, boating, camping, travel and more. Visit with vendors, grab the latest gear and browse through the many RV’s, boats, ATV’s, docks, lifts, travel trailers and more. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for ages 6-17. The La Crosse Winter Roots Festival is happening on Saturday at the newly reconstructed Riverside Ballroom in the La Crosse Center. The festival is a way to bring people out to celebrate and support live music and the culture of our beautiful city and area. Enjoy the music, regional cuisine, artists, brewers, distillers and more. The Driftless Makers Exchange will be on hand from 2pm-7pm bringing in over 20 local artists and makers. Browse and shop many things including textiles, jewelry, woodworking, botanicals, candle making, baked goods and more. This part of the event is FREE and for all ages. River City Championship Wrestling

The La Crosse area’s number one pro wrestling promotion for over seven years is back with “Broken Hearts & Broken Bones VI” at the Roy L. Vingers American Legion Post 52 off of 6th St. South in La Crosse on Friday night. Three championships are on the line, and the women of RCCW’s Heartbreakers Division are back. Doors open at 6pm, the show starts at 7pm. For more info go here.

Super Bowl Sunday Pancake Breakfast

The Dakota Fire Department Relief Association is hosting a pancake breakfast at the Bill Grant Community Center in Dakota, MN from 7am-Noon on Sunday. Carry out orders will be available. Adults are $5, children are $3 and pre-school kids are $1. There will be a Super Bowl raffle with tickets at $20. Only 225 tickets will be sold. Prizes will be $500, $400, $300, $200. Also, 20 winners will win $50. The event is supported by Hokah Co-op, Kwik Trip and Thrivent. For more info go here.
