MOTORCYCLE DANGLES FROM TRAFFIC LIGHT AFTER ACCIDENT

A bizarre crash near the Surrey-Delta border in British Columbia left drivers and onlookers stunned Saturday afternoon when a motorcycle ended up dangling from a traffic light above a busy intersection. Delta police say the collision happened just before 3 p.m. at Scott Road and 72nd Avenue involving a motorcycle and a sedan. The motorcyclist suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, while the driver of the car was unharmed.

Photos and videos from the scene quickly spread online, showing the motorcycle wrapped around an overhead traffic signal as emergency crews worked below to safely remove it. Witnesses described the scene as something out of a movie. Surrey resident William Chan said he initially couldn’t even find the motorcycle after spotting the damaged car, only to look up and see it suspended above the road. Police closed part of Scott Road while crews cleared debris and investigated the unusual crash.
