TSA ALLOWS “AS MANY ROTISSERIE CHICKENS AS YOU CAN PACK”

Planning to pack your favorite snacks for your next flight? You may want to think twice before tossing certain foods into your carry-on bag. The TSA is reminding travelers that its well-known 3-1-1 liquids rule doesn’t just apply to drinks — it also covers many popular snack items.
Foods considered liquids, gels, creams, or pastes must be in containers of 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less if packed in carry-on luggage. That includes surprises like peanut butter, hummus, yogurt, jam, jelly, creamy cheeses, and dips. TSA’s simple rule of thumb: if you can spill it, spread it, spray it, pump it, or pour it, it likely falls under liquid restrictions.
Solid snacks like chips, pretzels, and hard candy are still fine to bring through security. TSA also reminds travelers that portable chargers and power banks belong in carry-on bags, not checked luggage. A little prep before heading to the airport can save time and avoid checkpoint surprises.
