KQ98 CARES: HABITAT FOR HEROES

Giving back to those who served is at the heart of Habitat for Heroes, a program dedicated to building and repairing homes for local veterans. Created through a partnership of veterans, family members, businesses, and veteran organizations, the initiative shares one mission: providing safe, affordable housing opportunities for those who have sacrificed for our country.

Habitat for Heroes goes beyond home construction. The program also creates opportunities for veterans to connect, build skills, and find support through volunteerism. By bringing communities together, the organization strengthens relationships while helping veterans and their families build brighter futures.

One recent success story is Natasha, a veteran and member of the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association. Habitat recently completed a new home for Natasha and her daughter in Tomah, Wisconsin. The project was made possible through support from local veterans groups, family, friends, volunteers, and generous businesses
