Bauer’s Market and Garden Center brings Us today’s Pledge of Allegiance with Duke. Happy 85th birthday to Actor Alan Alda, best known for His role as Hawkeye Pierce on MASH. I always thought He brought the deepest connection to the material on the show, based on a Mobile Army hospital during the Korean War. Alda was born and raised in New Jersey, where He lives today. After He graduated from Fordham University he fulfilled his ROTC obligation serving at Fort Benning, Georgia. As a Member of the US Army reserves he also served 9 months at the North/South Border in Korea in 1956. He was commanding a border guard unit made up of South Korean and US soldiers.Happy Birthday US Veteran Alan Alda.
