COUNTRY STAR OF THE MONTH: NATE SMITH

Written by on November 1, 2022

Nate Smith is pretty new to the charts of Country Music but not new to singing. Growing up in California he caught “the bug” with inspiration from church and singing along with the congregations. He took his talents to Nashville by the age of 23 and was on the road to being more than just another singer. He even open for acts like the X Ambassadors, Brett Eldredge, and the Eli young Band. Nate’s life has not been without it’s down moments. When he went home in 2018 he lost his home in the Butte County Camp Wildfire. From tragedy came inspiration as he wrote the song that got him noticed with “One of These Days” which was a tribute to the town of Paradise that burned down. With the attention it got Nate was inspired to head back to Nashville and get back to work on music.

Back into the swing of things he recorded “Wildfire” which got famous as a clip of him performing it on Tik Tok got over 3 million views. That, along with the song “I Don’t Wanna Go To Heaven” got him listed on a Ones To Watch in 2022 with Country Now.

Now Nate finds himself climbing the charts with the forgetting you song “Whiskey On You”. A song about saying not only are we done, but I’m not even going to drink over this decision. Nate has an easy going voice that makes him a joy to listen to. The video that accompanied his soon to be hit song is fun and you get the idea that if you hung out with Mr. Smith and the band that you’re going to make a few memories. If he keeps putting out songs like this we’ll be hearing from him for quite a while.
