AN OFFICER STOOD UP FOR THIS BRIDE TWICE IN HER LIFE

Wedding days should be as special as they can hopefully be. There shouldn’t be anything that goes wrong and everyone should be there so that the day feels almost magical. Some folks don’t have it as easy as that. Some start out with a story of tragedy or sadness that can hopefully be overcome. This is one of those stories. Recently, Ivy Jacobson got married in Washington but her walk down the aisle was different than most. When Ivy was a teenager she had an abusive father and when she stood up for her family and had him arrested she showed great courage and strength. Without her father in her life she didn’t have him to walk her down to her groom. She decided to ask 15 men in her life who are influential to her to help her get there. The final man being the officer who arrested her father gave her away. It’s pretty cool that she found a way to make the day, and specifically that moment so special for her and those that care for her.
