SKIER SAVES BURIED SNOWBOARDER’S LIFE

Over the years there has always been a rivalry between those that ski in the snow and those that board in it. When snowboarding arrived it was seen by purists as a bunch of rebels on the slopes akin to skateboarders on city streets. In fact, that isn’t too far from the truth with snowboard park popping up on ski slopes as the sport caught on. Snowboarding became more mainstream as time has gone on, but the skier vs boarder antagonism quietly continues. However, when you’re hitting the fresh powder and someone is in real trouble rivalries are put aside for our fellow person. The following video shows just that. A skier going down a mountain thinks be bumped a snowboarder and apologizes only to realize there is nothing visible except for the board! He then goes into rescue mode. Luckily he had on a body camera to capture record the rescue. THERE IS SOME NOT SAFE FOR WORK WORDS used by the skier, but I think we can let that slide in this moment. Watching him dig him out is kind of intense as the boarders limbs slowly move as they are exposed. Luck, and proper planning was obviously on both their sides.
