FYRE FESTIVAL IS COMING BACK AND YOU SHOULD AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS

Written by on August 22, 2023

Every year we have a plethora of Country Music festivals to attend in the tri-states. Country Boom is right in our backyard while others are in relatively decent driving range for an overnight stay or two before heading back home. We love them! Have you ev4er talked about your absolute dream concert destination? Would it be seeing Carrie Underwood at a castle in Ireland? Maybe Dierks Bentley at Yankee Stadium or Madison Square Garden? Or how about Zac Brown Band on a cruise around Norway? Who and wherever really can be a fun thing to think about. What if there was a concert in the Caribbean where you got to stay in a wonderful tent on the beach and soaked up the sun while watching musicians sing in a tropical paradise? Sounds great! And a few years ago it was supposed to be the biggest concert festival ever until it wasn’t. Fyre (fire) was supposed to be all of that but instead it has become the biggest disaster story in all of music festival history in a close tie with Woodstock 99. It was basically all hype and no substance that got whittled down to a slice of cheese on a piece of bread. Watch the documentary on Netflix and use it as a tool to train yourself and your children on the perils of things that seem too good to be true. Now, Billy McFarland has put out an announcement that it’s going to happen again and you can buy tickets right now. Here’s the deal though, there aren’t any acts announced or signed and basically the festival is just going to be in the Caribbean. Somewhere. I wouldn’t put a wooden nickel on this concert with the history already displayed. But hey, he did write up a 50 page manifesto. While he was in prison. For fraud. For Fyre fest that didn’t happen the first time.
