TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS BACKUP QB HERO IN REAL LIFE

Written by on January 2, 2023

We always hear about backup players coming into football games and using “late game heroics” to win the game. In the world of sports it’s a big moment and may propel that player into the limelight and bigger paychecks. To majority of the world it doesn’t affect too much of everyone’s life. This weekend though the backup quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Blaine Gabbert made a rescue that mattered. A helicopter crashed just off shore and Gabbert and his brother were out riding jet skis. They saw the helicopter in the water and immediately went over to assist any victims. They got 3 people out of the water and got them to shore while the police rescued the pilot. A great job done by a guy that trains to be ready to jump in at a moments notice and get the win in football now getting a win for some people in need.
