IS THE NFL SCRIPT WRITTEN FOR A TEAM IN PURPLE THIS YEAR?

Conspiracy theories exist at every level of every thing you can think of. Politics, the military, aliens, games, entertainment, and even in your small town where it’s more often called “gossip”. The world of sports is no different. From teams pumping in noise using speakers at their home venue to the Twins turning on fans in the old Metrodome to make pitches go faster or slower. The latest and craziest one is that the NFL is all scripted and you can find “proof” all over the internet. It’s absurd to think that’s what is happening and not realize that playing a game all comes down to chance beyond the skill that goes into it. But let’s just pretend that it is scripted and some new evidence has been brought forward on the conspiracy side of things. Recently a social media account called NFL Memes – who just normally posts funny memes that are NFL related put up a picture of the last few Super Bowl logos. They pointed out that the colors seemed to match the teams playing in the Super Bowl those years. These logos were decided on many months if not a few years beforehand so that the host cities can use them for promotions. As a Minnesota Vikings fan they may have given us some false hope in finally winning a Super Bowl this season. The color scheme is red and purple for this year’s game in Las Vegas. While there are a few teams with red in them the 49ers and Chiefs are the only viable teams that could make the big game. With that there are two teams that use purple in their uniforms and that is the Baltimore Ravens and our Vikings. Could the NFL have tipped their hat at a possible Vikings vs Chiefs Super Bowl rematch? …. No. But one can dream.
