TRACY CHAPMAN AND LUKE COMBS MADE THE BEST MOMENT FOR THE GRAMMY’S

Written by on February 5, 2024

There have been pairings of artists over the last few years that have inspired us and entertained us. In Hollywood we have always wished for team ups of superheroes in our favorite movies. Last night at the Grammy’s there was probably the biggest and most anticipated pairing of the last decade. Ever since Luke Combs released Fast Car, the Tracy Chapman hit from the 80s it has been adored by fans of the original and new fans. The great thing is those new fans have discovered Chapman’s original song and fallen in love with it as well. Fast Car is one of those beautiful songs that just lives in your heart. For months fans and the music industry have been hoping the two stars would collaborate and perform the song live. Rumors did start to swirl on Friday, but nothing was 100%. Last night at the beginning of the show we were finally rewarded with the Tracy and Luke teaming up and it was absolute magic! I saw several posts from people on social media where their emotions were on high alert being brought to tears. I have to admit I was feeling that as well. Online sales of Chapman’s version jumped significantly last night after the performance. I wish there was a video I could find of the entire performance. This video for Entertainment Tonight will have to do for now.
