THE 2024 ALL HOCKEY HAIR TEAM GOES COUNTRY THIS YEAR

Every year the Minnesota State Hockey tournament shows you why Minnesota is “The State of Hockey”. On a THURSDAY AFTERNOON the entire Xcell Energy Center is sold out with hockey fans from all over the state coming to cheer on their hometown or just watch great high school hockey. It stays that way until the final horn sounds. There isn’t a hotel room in the Twin Cities vacant and the restaurants in downtown St. Paul are packed. One of the now standard traditions is the players that up their hair game by growing a great head of “lettuce”, a perfect bowl of “salad”, or, in layman’s terms “hockey hair”. The best players are highlighted out of all the participants and we get the monotone telling of the best mullets, bowl cuts, and flowing locks you’ll find north of tornado alley. Over the years it has grown to the point that there are associated themes with the contest. We finally got the connection that has always been right in front of their faces: country music. So I present to you “Friends In Flow Places”.
