REBA’S NATIONAL ANTHEM WAS PERFECT

The only thing that gets more critique then the game itself is the singing of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Depending on the singer and the style they came from starts things off with people deciding before a note is whispered whether it will be good or not. It was refreshing to see Reba McEntire get tapped to sing the National Anthem as Country singers don’t seem to get included in the biggest day in sports too often. You can even bet on the anthem in Vegas including how long it will go. I knew Reba would do it justice. Her style is a bit more relaxed and not trying to be too pompous without disrespecting the moment. She did such a wonderful job and kept it pretty simple yet powerful. I hope that the NFL thinks more often of Country Music artists performing not just the anthem, but the halftime show as well. There hasn’t been a true Country halftime show since 1994 when Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, and Travis Tritt tore it up. While I have enjoyed the last few years of performances it’s time to expand to a deeper audience. You can click here to watch her performance again!
